As an armchair alpinist for decades the feat this team accomplished is utterly outrageous. The film captures it perfectly. The cultural, social and professional aspects of being a Sherpa in the commercial economy of Himalayan mountaineering are explored in depth. I loved this movie. A must watch for any outdoors enthusiasts.

I don’t understand all the bad reviews! I really enjoyed this. Great to see Costner and Harrelson team up. Of course they’re grumpy old buggers, their characters are haunted men! And damn, they do a good job of it. I enjoyed the subtle humour which saves the film from melancholy. Solid cast, well paced (slow), great script, beaut cinematography, this didn’t miss a beat IMO.
