The Game Changers

Not his best, seems like he was trying out some different styles or releasing some stuff he had been meaning to eventually. I don't get a lot of continuity, and the quality is uneven (I can't stand the first song, in particular). Still, it is Miles and it's from the 60s and this one has been in my digital library since the 90s...I never did have the CD or vinyl though. All in all, I have to only give it 4 stars just because of what I see as some filler songs and no overarching concept that I can see..

Led Zeppelin III

4.5. Classic K-Pop girl group material from a few years ago. One of my fave groups, and one of the few to record an actual album (that would make L.P. status anyways)...12 songs, and all at least good and many top tracks. I like the song, the video, the album, and the overarching style of this group and I think that they are in the top tier, maybe even the best, of the genre over the past 10-12 years.

So Cool

This program is well-named...it is weird on almost every level. Each short episode raises interesting philosophical and moral questions, in a kind of post-modern way. Lots of colorful, interesting settings and characters that hold your interest and screw with your head. The acting is good, but sometimes it is hard to say what is acting and what is bad acting, since it is just so weird. Also funny at times, and I very likely missed a lot of the jokes...I think these shows would require a few viewings to fully absorb. If you like stuff like The Twilight Zone, Phillip K. Dick (books, derived movies, Electric Dreams TV series), Black Mirror, etc. you may well like this. I never give anything 5 stars really, so consider 4 here a strong recommendation.

Maybe the best post-Waters work of theirs, and very ambitious, but I feel there are too many low points (and drawn-out boring sections) to consider this among the best PF records myself. I just feel Gilmore stopped evolving with the absence of Waters, and the other two guys, talented as they are, were never that creative...or at any rate, were greatly outshone by Barrett, Waters, and to a lesser extent, Gilmore.

TOS was the best TV ever made, at least on average...I mean sure there were a few bad episodes that drug (dragged?) down the overall mean, the several dozen that were outstanding have been and never will be matched in my opinion. And the black and white just makes it better...the human eye...well you know... Some of the re-makes&whatevers were actually quite good too, not that I've seen every one. But I've seen every one ory f the TOS minimally 2 times and most 3 or 4+, some probably 15 or 20 because of the old day marathons they did in L.A. and elsewhere where you'd see Talking Tina or The Invaders every year if not even twice sometimes... It just does not get better than the original 5 year run of TZ

No Limit Hold 'em: Theory and Practice

It is an important period piece and was very influential, but I feel it is (as an album) is a little dated now. Rust in Peace was a much better LP and it has stood up to the test of time much better. That said, this is a must-hear record for any metalhead and a classic of the genre, and probably Megadeth's second best album, containing a number of really rocking, standout tracks. If you ever saw them live you might agree that Megadeth is better as a live act than in the studio.
