Everyone has their own opinion and I'm not saying this show is a waste of time but I really feel like it could have been done better. I have someone to watches and absolutely loves shows with murder and a lot of Mystery, this was disappointing. I love Riverdale, and the flight attendant (check it out on HBO max too) however I understand but those shows are over-the-top and deal with extremely unrealistic things. Just because I love those shows does not mean that I don't appreciate a more down to earth mystery but this was just so damn plain and predictable and cliche. Me and my fiance thought numerous people could have done it we even at one point I thought that maybe Jonathan was right when he said what he said when they found the hammer ( saying it this way to avoid spoilers but trust me what he said was outrageous) but it would have made the show much more interesting if that would have been true, it's not that we're desensitized and we have to have huge twist it's just that this really turned out to be another cliche waste of energy. You can see something like this by watching CSI or Criminal Minds, not to mention if the person who done the killing was the one they wanted to go with the whole time they could have gave some more support. The biggest turn off to a show is when you don't find something out until 2 minutes before you find out who the Killer is, people want a chance to figure it out for themselves. That's why TV shows like CSI get old because the Killer is somebody that you don't actually meet until the last 5 minutes of the show so there's no way for you to guess it. Not to mention they could have made it a little more realistic, the way the officers talked to her in the beginning when they don't have any evidence would never happen not to mention her coming down to the station in the back of a squad car like that. Either way no matter if you think it is a fantastic show or not I believe Nicole Kidman's acting was absolutely terrible I'm not going to call her ugly but I feel like the plastic surgery played a part in it because she either act like a wooden statue and shows absolutely no emotion, or she over sales it. I have someone else said in a review on here the part when the police first tell her what her husband been doing for the past 3 months get so over sold that it's ridiculous. You would be upset but nobody would be that distraught over finding out that little tidbit of information. I think Hugh Grant played the part pretty well and managed to show his emotions throughout pretty accurately, and I think the woman that played Elena done a great job I'll just feel like it was bad writing that made this terrible
