I grew up with He-Man from the 80's. And yes, He-Man does take a backseat to Teela in this series, but this is a perfect adaptation to bring the story of the Masters of the Universe to the present day. This is a natural progression of a cheesy kids cartoon from the 80's. It brings a real story with purpose and plot, which apparently edgy fanboys can't handle, which is why I'm leaving this review to hopefully help balance out the stupid review bombing that claims this is "career suicide" for Kevin Smith... apparently these nerds missed the middle part of Smith's film career, he's not concerned with career suicide and will survive your nerd rage over a cartoon. Again, this is a great show that I went into skeptical of because of all of the negative reviews I had been seeing, but this turned out great. Everyone has a story and depth, which apparently some people can't handle since they're as deep as mud puddles.
