I absolutely loved this show. It was a slow burn. A character drama at heart, much more so than a horror. From Tim Daly to Colm Feore, everyone played their parts perfectly.

This film was definitely not unique, or special, or inventive. It was, basically, a monster movie. It did, however, get the job done well. There was also a definite atmosphere, or 'feel', throughout the movie that did help. I took the moral of this movie as, when you're deep in the woods, or what's left of them, and you hear loud strange noises, don't go deeper in to figure out what it is. Just high tail it out of there. At the end of the day, this isn't a movie I'd go out of my way to see. However, I didn't feel like I wasted my time watching it either.

This movie was phenomenal! It is, at its heart, a character drama, with some horror/sci-fi thrown in for good measure. It is quite slow. But to me, that slowness works very well.

I'll start by saying.... no. This was obviously either a made for TV movie, or a made for straight to video movie. Neither of those are inherently bad, but it really shows here. Over dramatic acting. An antagonist that came straight from cheesy 80s/90s action movies. Scenes that were obvious rip offs of Silence of the Lambs. An emotional connection between the female lead and the antagonist that we were supposed to accept after about 2 sentences of dialogue. I could go on, but I don't think I'll live long enough to list every fault with this movie. Thankfully, I saw this for free on Tubi, but even then I don't think I got my money's worth out of it.

I just saw Brightburn for the first time today, because of Comcast doing free broadcasts during the virus. I loved the entire concept of the movie.... What if Superman was evil instead of good. I can only hope that the next movies in this "universe" are made. From what I saw/understood, it would be Aquaman and/or Wonder Woman.
