Don't listen to the reviewers. This show is a phenomenal adaptation of the story. If you are new to The Witcher world, definitely read one of the guides to get yourself up to speed because there is a lot of information that will go over your head otherwise and things that are unspoken and knowledge that is assumed. As a fan of the video games, I could not be happier with this adaptation and cannot imagine how it could have hit the mark any more successfully. everything from the casting, to the acting, to the music, to the cinematography is spot-on with the mythology of the series. Thank God there are production companies like Netflix that are willing to make a show without watering down or Disney-fying the source material.
