Of course, sooner or later, a movie about the legendary Doom will be released. I appreciate the effort, but it does not cut it. The story is the same from the game's lore, though it does not pull off the excitement through the story. Especially, the Doom Slayer is not present. The main man that the entire story is centralized upon is not in the movie, and the effects... just fine. It could be better, could be worse. Personally, I'm hoping for a total remake of this with the right people for the job.
NOW: I hold no grudges or do not imply anything against the creators as I saw it is made by fans, and I sense the love for it. I am only rating the impact of the movie towards some people like me who are (I admit) a bit on the perfectionist side? As it does not hit me as appealing... you'll realize this when you see how the Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal impacts its audience.
