Honestly it’s a lot of fun. Pretty huge map that is open from the very beginning (so it kinda has that botw charm….in a small way). A lot more to it than links awakening (way bigger map and a lot more to do ). It’s not the hardest Zelda game, but that’s alright. You either like the echoes or maybe you don’t prefer it, but I thought it was fun for a one off entry in the series (outside of the echo fighting mechanic it’s very much a traditional Zelda game)
For fighting enemies there can be a bit of strategy if you want to be quick/efficient. This is because they all have different attack timing/ movement patterns so picking the right enemy-echo to QUICKLY kill the enemy in front of you can be interesting (or you could just stand there forever and keep spamming any enemy-echo in and it will do the trick)
The only criticism I would have is you spend a lot of time scrolling through echoes. I wish they could be organized differently.
