I'm trying to make myself finish this book. Each time I begin to really enjoy it, my mind changes. I don't get the humor and I'm tired of the constant references to feminism and women's place in the workforce. It's too preachy and redundant.Those of us who lived through this time, realize what it was like and don't particularly enjoy reliving it. I admire the main character's strength and talent, but her pushy ways were too much. Don't get me started on the talking dog, too silly for me. I also don't care about the chemical make up in foods and when Christianity and atheism became part of the story, I found myself losing interest. I'm determined to finish the book because I'm in a book club and Iwant to be able to give my final opinion. book
