With all the crazy, dramatic, thriller type shows that are out there, sometimes it's nice to take a break and enjoy a "feel good" yet authentic kind of show. Admittedly at first I thought this would be a show I could watch before bed to sort of doze off however I absolutely disagree with anyone who says the acting is anything less than fantastic. It's rare to find a storyline that you may think you've seen before yet the actors and the script suck you right in. I can't get enough! There is plenty of drama in this show but it's subtle and not obvious like others. There are no "over the top" scenes to hide behind, you just genuinely want to see what happens next because these characters feel like your very own neighbors! I've seen Hart of Dixie and while I very much enjoyed it, this is not the same. I would argue Virgin River is much more attuned to reality and relatable. Laura Breckinridge is great but has anyone recognized Martin Henderson (Jack)... he’s fantastic! And not just because he is super sexy but he is raw and really pulls you into his character.
