Everyone acknowledges the game had a problematic launch, I was there for it. It was still a fun, enjoyable game even then, now, with all the patches and bug fixes that have and continue to be added it's absolutely worth getting. The story is great and enjoyable, the combat is visceral and suitably cyberpunk, the hacking is actually fun, overall it's just a great game along similar lines to Witcher 3 and such (which few people remember was considered a buggy failure on launch, and is now one of the most lauded games from the past decade).
