An amazing book. Opened my eyes to a country often in the news but about which I know nothing. A heartbreaking story told with empathy and humour. Sad and uplifting at the same time. Highly recommended.

Very disappointing. The humour that is often found in Reacher books is missing. There is no believable underdog to root for. The whole cyber threat plot is boring beyond belief. I can't believe I'm writing this about a Reacher book as I've read and re-read them endlessly. I've just finished The Persuader (again) and it's hard to believe the same author wrote both books.
