Even though people might tag this movie as a simply good movie or one which doesn't have a plot, I still feel it is one of the best movies ever and it rightly won the academy award. I would suggest everyone to watch this movie once again without forming any prior judgements on the characters. Especially, one such character is of Jenny who I feel is completely misunderstood. With Forrest being the protagonist, it can be easy to not understand Jenny's traumatic childhood and why she acts the way she does with Forrest. Watch this movie once again but this time treating Jenny as the protagonist and you will understand that she had loved Forrest throughout the movie.
