I for one believe this MOVIE is REALLY WEIRD! The women are in hijabs? Lots of Islamic themes. As far as I'm concerned, it's just a cunning way to use Middle Eastern and North African cultures without mentioning anything about them. It's a cheap way to attract viewers without putting in any actual effort. It's an example of cultural appropriation and it's just wrong. By exploiting cultures without actually engaging with them, it reinforces stereotypes and perpetuates ignorance. It also sends a signal to viewers that it's okay to appropriate culture without putting in the work to understand it. It's disrespectful and it undermines the hard work of those cultures to create positive representations of themselves. This movie is Islamophobiac and you should not watch it at all. I believe this movie is about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict which makes it even more repulsive. We should call for a boycott of this horrible movie. This movie has the potential to perpetuate harmful stereotypes and misconceptions about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, further fueling tension and misunderstanding. It is important to promote accurate and respectful representations of different cultures and conflicts to foster empathy and dialogue.
