I loved the movie and the maids i grew up in Texas we did not see that kind of racism our mother would not allow us to be that way we were poor and work in the fields along with colored people i hav hoped cotton a d pulled cotton we stayed in tent city's that the farmers provided and alot of time we were side by side we played together and worked together mostly that was way south texas in the north part people were were like in the movie
