First of all, in the beginning credits it says ‘based on the novel by Stephen King’. This series has NOTHING to do with what happened in the book. Mr King, when Stanley Kubrick made ‘The Shining’, you were very public about how Kubrick destroyed your story and you didn’t let movie makers anywhere near your work for years. Now you are destroying your own work? On top of that, this series meanders and meanders and, oh yeah, meanders. There is no solid story nor are there any solid characters in this show. Most of the actors (rightfully so) look as if they hope lunch is soon. They’re good actors, there’s just nothing to play. This is sure a long series with a lot of actors for a show with no story line. I kept going because I wanted to know what was behind the dome. I’ve given up. This show seems like more of a pretentious reboot of ‘Roswell’ than anything else. Though ‘Roswell’ was much better even though it was written for teenagers. The bottom line: if you are intelligent, don’t watch it, it was obviously intended for people with no thought process.
