Ikey Ilex

This was there attempt at a core series game on the Switch, and I'm honestly disappointed. The visuals are WORSE than Let's Go, with many low res and sloppy textures, lots of hand holding, and the story, honestly, collapses in on itself at about the halfway point. The Wild Area is a really cool idea, but it's hurt by awful draw distance, abrupt changes in weather, and a lot of very samey areas. That's ignoring the abundance of omissions from past generations. It's still a pokemon game though. If the core gameplay is something that's for you, you'll at least get some enjoyment out of this. Don't set the bare too high, and there are glimpses of quality, and the Pokemon themselves are always cute.

One of the best Pokemon games overall, with bright and vibrant visuals and a surprising amount of attention to detail. The post game is weak though.
