This film is fantastic! Great cinematography. Amazing CGI. Wonderful human actors. Clever comedy. I’m no fan of the “gamer”community, and it didn’t matter in this film. In fact - this story pretty much depicts the gamers exactly as I would envision them. Love the film, and saw it twice. Felt good to be back in a theater for the first time since 2019.

The film is ridiculous. The story is comical. But - Ashley Judd.

Flawed and emotionally tortured super detective (who apparently can only communicate by whispering), and his adorable tight-panted hi-heeled, yet miraculously clever partner, hunt very morbid serial killers in what is apparently the most shady, depressing, and violent small town on Earth.

Watched it recently for the first time since the original release. Thoroughly enjoyed it again. Malkovich and Eastwood are great. Plenty of silly cliché side characters. A lot of suspension-of-disbelief required to enjoy the film, particularly toward the end, during the assassination scene, which borderlines ridiculous.
