To watch Savarkar’s life on screen was very heartbreaking. But regardless of the many atrocities that were committed against him by the British, he was bright light that influenced many revolutionaries of the freedom struggle. His ideologies were far ahead of his time and in fact, very progressive. A truly brilliant film about a brilliant man who is unfortunately, very misunderstood. Hopefully this film can change the general narrative and people’s perspective. Please watch the film and give it a chance before you form your opinions. And don’t judge Savarkar by today’s standards.
