The whole focal point of the game is revenge. However, this theme is consistently contradicted as well as unrealistic in old character’s personality ranging from Joel trusting armed strangers enough to tell them his name to Ellie going through every ounce of bloodlust for revenge, sacrificing so much, to only not achieve it in the end. Furthermore the idiocy to make the player play as Abby moments after murdering Joel, is just flat out foolish and set itself up for failure. The story needs and INSANE amount of work as well as majority of the characters themselves as they contradict their own actions. However, this game’s saving grace is the visuals and gameplay. I honestly pity the team that worked on it for having to have that effort seem meaningless due to the flaws of the story writing team. It’s not a 4-5 star/90-100 as all of the other reviewers are saying, but it isn’t exactly a 1 Star as the game itself does have potential. I’m gonna go with 2-3, but I’m putting 2 down due to the Neil’s unprofessional way of going about the criticism and backlash
