If you are a CATS fan of the Broadway show (I saw it 8 times) then this is pretty darn true to the Broadway show -- it was never a "connected" story line -- but instead vignettes of the different cats and their personalities. And if you ever read TS Eliot's poems (which the entire broadway show and movie are based on -- a collection of poems about Cats, not a novel!) , you will know it was not ever written as a "story line". These are street cats -- rough and out in the London back alleys. So critics -- too bad you didn't see the broadway show or read TS Eliot! Duh! I loved it! It was great fun getting to see them come alive again with the personalities of the original CATS and famous movie star interpretations by actors we all know and love!
