I can understand where the critics are coming from and can see how anyone who didn’t live this kind of childhood would see this movie as being “over dramatized” but if you *did* live this childhood, just get ready for some flashbacks watching this. This is a tough watch for the cycle breakers of family dysfunction out there. Not everyone can relate to the story but for those of us that can, it’s a great movie that causes intense emotional feelings when watching it.
