I absolutely loved this film. Perfect for a bank holiday afternoon, snuggled on the sofa with a cuppa. The cast are excellent and the story they tell will have you falling in love with their characters and your heart melting for them. It was warm and charming and left me wanting to know more about what happened to a few of them. It's hard to write a review without giving too much away but I wholeheartedly recommend The Dig. It is a beautiful piece of cinema, not at all boring as some people have apparently questioned. Perfectly shot, stunning imagery and cinematography, a joy to watch. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this film.

The effects CGI whatever are good. It’s very inventive and rather pretty and there’s obviously some eye candy but that’s not enough to save it. It’s awful, it rips off lines from other movies, blatantly rips off Star Wars and the “humour” is forced and predictable. The couple next to me left half way through. If it hadn’t of been for my lovely reclining chair and having paid a fortune, I’d have left too!
