I’m obsessed with The Sopranos. I don’t understand why this movie was promoted as the start of Tony, when Tony has less than 15 minutes of screen time. They introduced new random characters that weren’t in the show before. We all wanted to see what Johnny and Jun were like, Paulie and Sil.. Jackie! We wanted the poker games, and all the other stories that were told come to life.
-What we got was a story line about Dickie and his interaction with the civil rights movement. The civil rights movement had more screen time than Tony Soprano himself. Why even call this movie a sopranos movie. It was slow, with no real distinct plot line.
- Teen Tony soprano interacting with Janice and his mother were some of the best scenes.
- this movie was a massive flop for real fans. It missed the mark completely.
- The stupid twist at the end doesn’t even go along with the series. In the series, Christopher sits outside the cops house who killed his father. Debating on whether or not to murder this cop… There was never minimal indication that junior killed dickie. This was tacky and dumb. All because dickie laughed at junior fall down some steps?! Totally dumb and disappointing.
Don’t bother watching this movie.
