All of the reviews about this movie being a senseless action movie are totally true. The plot is definitely second to the action. Overall entertaining and worth watching and immediately forgetting. However, I am in full support of this movie because it carries some unexpected and important messages. It manages to touch on veteran’s issues, PTSD, mental health and disability, and the opioid crisis in one character and racism and xenophobia in another. It’s not often that a brainless action movie holds ideals like these. In the meantime it also has a badass lead female that’s bundled up in winter clothes instead of the skin tight outfits we’re used to.
