Ok, so I have been looking forward to this movie for a while. I saw it on Netflix and just finished watching it. I want every negative critic to not look at any previous version of this movie and focus on THIS version.
I loved how they portrayed the Grinch as a character that wasn’t so evil and vile, and more of just someone who needed some love that was missing in his childhood. I was teary at the end and can confidently say that I truly do love this version the most compared to the others made.
I liked the character plot line and development with the mom and kids. It get like a story you’d see in everyday life. A mom doing everything for crazy kids, an excitedly festive neighbor, and stores open for business. It seemed for realistic for me this go round.
The Grinch is made out to be a pretty good guy. He just had a rough childhood and you see that build throughout the film.
Overall this movie was so wonderful and I’m going to give it a 9/10. It left me wanting more. And that’s the way I like it.
FINAL RATING: 9.0/10.0
