I LOVED this film. The story and the music were so beautiful woven together. The acting was superb, as were the musical numbers, and the costuming.
I’m surprised at the homophobia expressed by a few who have posted here. If the love scene were between a straight couple, they’d probably not bat an eye. It’s sad they’d think for a moment that any facet of Elton John’s life should be changed to make them happy or comfortable. An agenda? No. Self pitying? No. Just vulnerability and honesty.
I’m looking forward to seeing this film again, and it’s rare that I watch a movie more than once. Both Taron Egerton and the movie will certainly win multiple awards.
