It isn’t just a shoddy script and warped ideas that make this movie bad. What compounds the grief is that it has an Oscar winner for a director who perhaps was as clueless as the producers about what they wanted from this film. Chloe Zhao disappoints in a massive way by helming a film that fails to deliver any substantive thing in any department. Mediocre acting, a terrible screenplay, sad graphics and needless stereotyping, this movie is a mountain of errors put together. The marvel world needs to rethink post the avengers era of how low it can allow the bar to sink. Because this isn’t just sinking it is the nadir of movie making. Of money being spent by an acclaimed cast and production on something I dare say made any sense to anyone.
