I usually really like WW1 films. but this was bad. It was more of a love story than anything else - with a bit of trench action thrown in at the end.
A soldier meets a nurse.
Her little brother enlists. (to impress his girlfriend's dad).
The soldier goes back to the front to protect him.
The inevitable happens in the corniest way possible.
...I actually wanted the Germans to win this one.
