As some whose opinions of this movie aren't tainted by watching the original anime first I enjoy this movie immensely! If you enjoy movies like Blade Runner, Ex Machina and Under the skin you'll love this movie. From the appropriately emotionless acting from Johansson to the amazing cinematography and sound this movie gets a 9/10 from me. The only things I dislike about the movie are Batou's robotic eyes look a bit silly and the spider tank at the end looks like they ran out of money before they could finish the cgi so they used an early draft and it's a shame because if these things didn't look so weird and silly this movie is almost perfect for me.
