Anime fans should watch it in Japanese dub for a smoother experience. The pacing is bad in the beginning. But gets better as the story develops, or maybe you get used to it. It's a decent watch overall. I haven't played DOTA 2, but I have played 3. I wish they had taken more time and fleshed out the characters, stories and details with the animation. It could have been really gorgeous. (Poor Sagan needed more texture. Characters were kind of flat. Beautiful background work. I wish the foreground characters would be more detailed to match.) It has a very good potential to be a total hit. I liked it overall because I'm a fan of the genre. Recommended if you can get through the first few episodes if you are unfamiliar with DOTA2. Recommended if you are a DOTA fan. Not recommended if you cannot wait for the story to develop. Not recommended if you are looking for a flick. I liked that it wasn't over the top adult themed. They made a good decision to keep it classy instead of dragging in more audience just with nudity and sex. Will definitely watch season 2.
