Overall you get what you expect. It’s an interesting premise with a good twist at the end but the bad characters, sloppy editing, and overall bad script take me away from the immersion that I was supposed to feel. Plus the pacing of this movie is super inconsistent at times. I will say that there are some decent jump scares that’ll pop you though and the acting wasn’t half bad especially from the two lead roles in Grillo and whatever the blond hair guy name was. On a number scale, I’d give it a 4/10

I would definitely watch this again. The plot is great and the acting was great also with Helen Mirren showing off her ability to make a OK script sound amazing. The cinematography was excellent with a great setpiece in the Winchester. This movie has a major historical tie-in which is something I love in horror movies. Expect cheap jump scares but there are some scenes that build up legit tension. There is a little weird ADR in a scene but that should take you too out of it. If you’re looking for horror movie to watch on Netflix with a couple of friends, I would highly recommend this movie
