I tend to trust audience reviews over critics due to their nature of not understanding a lot of movies for what they are, this is one of those days.
Dark Phoenix is NOT a movie about superheroes entirely, it's about a family divided when one of their own turns on them. This movie is way better than The Last Stand in all intent and purposes.
However, Dark Phoenix feels a bit sluggish at times. The emotional aspect Kinberg made this movie to be is very investing, I found myself more intrigued with the emotional side of Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) as well as Charles Xavier (McAvoy) then anything else. Those two made this movie, plus Hans Zimmer scoring the whole movie is a MAJOR PLUS.
