A real disappointment - two excellent actors delivering a pointless plot. Pretty locations but a lame storyline - cliche after cliche.

A clever and original start but spoilt by being one episode too long. Lost its pace and our interest during the 5th - who trusts who and who cares..... If there's a second series it needs to be tighter.

A very disappointing series. The darkness and incoherent soundtrack seriously reduced whatever impact the story might have had. Too much flashback combined with too much time in the POW camp. One less episode and a tighter storyline would have created a far superior series.

A brilliant interpretation, imaginative direction and a great cast. Strong sense of period, riotous humour with an underlying seriousness. Having started with episode 1 we watched through to the end - excellent entertainment. More please Mortimer !!!

Very original plot and entertaining treatment - yet another facet of Christian Bale and excellent performances from fellow leads.
