Overall it was a great book. Koontz does a good job telling the story of each character and their purpose in the story. The issue I have with the book, as you get to the end of the book, Koontz rushes the closing, leaving questions all over the place. From the main characters, to the actual mystery of the story and as the book finishes all characters conclude in a rushed fashion. Simply stated, Koontz just cuts you off. So you then might say “Why the hell should I even read it”? Because it is an enjoyable read, the characters are fascinating and each of them have are mysterious and classic Koontz pulls you in. I have a busy life and I checked this out from the library and finished in 5 weeks. I feel anyone who reads it would agree regardless of the ending it is overall a suspenseful book and worth the experience.
