Love the trilogy. But this attempt to recreate the mind warp fails miserably. It feels forced without the ring of truth/plausibility of the original.
The cinematography doesnt match so the look is different. The actions scenes are nowhere near as polished. Overall its likeAlien 3 or Pacific Rim 2. Total failure.
If franchise continues lets just pretend it never happened. This film feels like a web series fan recreation.

it sucked. plot had Godzilla sized holes. the attempt to balance the fight was lame. The idea of what was spent on protecting Kong, building & powering Mecha was just not at all believeable. Basically it was live action anime. TOTAL trash. I liked Skull Island and King of the Monsters. This flick is NOT going in the collection.
