Carson Miller

Currently reading this in 7th grade for English. I like this book so far (haven’t finished) while others in my class hate it. While there are some boring parts, for the most part it’s interesting. Lyddie isn’t very relatable, and there seems to be too much going on in her life. I feel like this book is more about unlikely events happening to Lyddie instead of actual factory life, which I actually like! This book would probably be a 1 star if it was about only factory life because that’s just boring. As it is more interesting this way, I don’t think this is what the author was intending. Final score 6/10.
