Idk it’s an easy watch & star trek fandom aside.. but the acting is so so cringe, mostly fine, but I’m assuming it’s bc of whoever is writing this thing. Bc the whole cast can’t be that bad at acting, it’s def the writing. I will say the one storyline I find too cringe & unbearable to sit through is Dr. Claire Finn. And for some reason her storyline is the most predominant in the entire series. I’m sure she is just following the script & doing the best she can with the writing but omggg her character annoys me so much for no reason?? like it makes me physically angry when I try to watch her storyline and character development 😭 Clearly written by some old white guy. Bc even the progressive arc about moclan gays & gals & over throwing the patriarchy was surface level like they are just writing to check off the diversity box Don’t even get me started with the, robot isacc - dr claire love story. Like I see what they were trying to do, like trying to question sentience of artificial life and yada yada. but the writing was so surface level and lacked so much emotional & intellectual depth, it just came off as some old lady getting off to a life size personal device.

like i really liked this show...at first, but then like they just be giving out super powers like the flu shot and also got repetitive. like it’s so bad & repetitivenow i want the writers to go to jail for writing.
