It's much better than the ratings would indicate. I've seen much worse films with better (ratings for some reason). Therefore, I'm going to give it a 5 for effort.

A confusing mess with too many characters but I like it better than the new "The Suicide Squad" for sure!

Finally something interesting and they cancel it!

A real stinker! It was not watchable and I watch some very poor B type SciFi movies. I generally enjoy this type of film so I was extremely disappointed in the acting and story. I am extremely surprised that Disney was behind this one. It is like everyone was asleep when this came out. I don't even think that editing could save this. I am generally good with an extreme suspension of my disbelief but these "superior" alien kids that are supposed to rapidly adapt to our culture and technology just don't. For example, if the girl (AnnaSophia Robb) can watch the cabby (Dwayne Johnson) drive the cab and learn how to control it in minutes why does this female alien keep using his full name when no one else does? I know that is a petty example but it really does sum up the many flaws of this film. It is so painful to watch that I have not even been able to finish it in one sitting and I have finished "Singularity" and that is rated a 3.8 on IMDB!
