SPOILERS AHEAD: I have wrote so many reviews and signed many petitions that I will keep it to the point with my reasoning behind my rating. My personal opinion follows: I think that the reason why The Last Of Us part 1 was such a success was the relationship between Ellie and Joel. You watch the beautiful character development between the two. However you get to part two and it completely destroys everything from the last game. Not only is it just a disrespect to fans, but Joel deserved a more dignified death. Lastly the game forces you to play a character you despise and want dead. Then tries to forcefully make you pity them and understand their reasoning. The game then makes you fight against Ellie, the one person you root for the whole time. I dont care about any other controversy. Transgenders? Lesbians? Gore? I don't mind any of it. Note: I have played the game all the way through to the end, even preordered the game and avoided all spoilers to release. I played the first game multiple times on PS3 and PS4.
