It's very good BUT if you've read the books you are likely to feel that these shows fall short of the original. Not unique to this Bosch series by any means. Well crafted books are notoriously difficult to bring to the screen. Connolly has churned out over 20 featuring Bosch showing a progression through a career and life in general. Compositing these into screenplays is a big ask anyway.
