I honestly liked this movie. I’ve been playing this game since dynasty warriors 3, and got exactly what I expected from it. Just like any movie that is based on a video game, it’s not going to be on point all the time. It does require you to have to have played the game in order to understand what is going on. I can appreciate the work the director did to draw audiences into the story because, let’s face it, if you based the movie just off of the game it would just be all action and minimal story at best. The movie does feel rushed though, honestly I’d rather have this movie turned into a series instead since there is so much more they could do with that without having everything seem so rushed. If you are a fan of the game then this movie is very nostalgic and does some fan service for you, but keep in mind that it won’t be exactly like the game.
