I loved Mama Mia (first one), bought the dvd, bought the soundtrack on CD, great story line, great cast, great songs (I’m a big ABBA fan). Looked forward to the sequel - so disappointed ... mainly because the death of Sophie’s mother, Donna (Meryl Streep) was completely brushed under the carpet, no explanation or story as to why, just Mama Mia 2 new start, new story. Rubbish story line, with songs from ABBA I’d never even heard, plus Cher thrown into the cast, looking as young as Sophie, yet playing her grandmother. Come on movie directors, get with the real world - having a 70+ year old looking 40 years old is not convincing when playing a grandmother. Much as I loved the first Mama Mia, hope they now throw in the towel!
