So, I saw the movie recently. Google deleted my original review idk why but whatever. So first things first, if you think that this is an opportunity of a cashgrab by Disney and the film isn't worth watching since Toy Story 3 provided such a fitting ending, you're probably wrong. The movie will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. The plot is intriguing, the story is powerful, the themes are strong and in the end the movie succeeds in delivering a message that'll resonate with people of all ages. Just the way most of Pixar movies do. I wouldn't go much into detail about the plot but let me say this. If toy story 3 was about growing up, toy story 4 is about listening to your inner voice and following your heart. This theme was present in past movies obviously, but it's presence is stronger in this one. The movie definitely took me on a feels trip and left me with some valuable life lessons. When you watch it, I hope you get those lessons too and I hope, you carry them with you, "To infinity, and beyond".

If you think the movie has anything else to offer other than it's thumbnail on Netflix, it doesn't. I'd love to pick apart it's plot if it had one. The story's trash, the acting's mediocre and the movie caters to teen fantasies while providing nothing worthwhile. I've seen pretty bad movies tbh, this has got to be in my worst 3. Now if you have gone through the other reviews of the movie and are looking for something to watch on Netflix that's of similar length but has way more substance, I recommend "I am Mother".

The atmosphere, conflict of characters affecting the protagonists' decisions, score, everything just falls into place. The stunning camera visuals do justice in giving a glimpse into the mind of the characters and also manages to bring about visualisation of hysteria. The imagery is strong with this movie. The character transitions are hazy but they add more to the movie than take away from it. And don't let the movie poster deter you from watching it. It is a brilliantly executed concept which hopefully will receive more recognition with time.

I've been a huge dystopian/post-apocalyptic genre fan over the years. I try to watch movies from this genre, irrespective of whether it's a 70's Blockbuster or mid 2000s indie. I guess this makes me somewhat qualified to review this. I was pleased to see the ad on my Netflix home screen. I saw it wasn't long and I probably wouldn't lose much even if it was bad. Turns out, it wasn't. The storytelling was crisp from the very beginning. The ambiguity of character affiliations affecting the judgment of the little girl makes you ponder over the question of man vs machine. The plot reveals would keep you intrigued till the very end. The grey characters help you see the dystopian scenarios from their perspective and why they act the way they do. Also, the acting is brilliant and the cinematography is top notch. One suggestion, keep your eyes open from the very beginning. If you watch it carefully, it'll take you on a trippy ride. And you'll appreciate the message it's trying to convey and the obscure genius this movie is.

It has been a long time since Netflix came with something as unique as this one. It's complex yet simple to grasp, far-fetched yet relatable, dark at times yet has humor to it. Jonah Hill and Emma Stone portray their characters with immense charisma. I don't know if anyone else would've been able to bring out such quirkiness. It's not too long either( I wish it was though). Give it a try. It'll leave you pondering and chuckling. Definitely a ten.

This is so beautiful. The movie is about a love story but it's no ordinary one. You'll feel for the characters. You'll even find a part of you in this one. It's THE 21st century romance at its best. It'll take you on an emotional rollercoaster. Boy I wish I knew Japanese so I could watch it again in its original language :)
