I read all the comments and too many 5 star reviews are generic. I think it's being pushed by bots. Only read 4 stars or less.
You came for feral teenage girls stranded in the woods, right?
After 9 episodes, it hasn't happened yet. If these girls don't start killing each other in the finale, I will not watch season 2.
Every plot twist I was excited about resolved in unsatisfying ways. There are way too many characters who don't even have names, or I just don't care about them. They have shelter, and a lake full of fish, and act like they're going to starve. They haven't done anything other than talk about "who wants to bang who."
The older timeline is boring, and it's because nothing has happened to make me care about what they're like in the future. I would have been way more invested if the whole show was them crashing in the woods. It feels like there are no stakes, because you already know who doesn't die. It's just WHEN do they die, or IF maybe they didn't die, in which case, they're not in the show at all. It's a terrible form of storytelling for a show like this when they are supposed to disagree and turn against each other to survive.
There's a symbol. Is it a ghost? A demon? Other people? One of them? What type of show even is this? Who is the bad guy? Are they going to start killing each other or fight against something else? It doesn't take a whole season to set up some kind of conflict.
Went with 2 stars instead of 1 because I love Misty, but she's the only character I like at all, apart from Lottie when she actually does something.
