Having worked in restaurants for 25 years, this series did a wonderful job encapsulating what it’s like for the various front/back of house positions and what turmoils affect their daily lives. Kudos to the cinematographer, the lighting and beautifully framed shots brought a realism to the characters I haven’t seen in television lately. The cast is fantastic, with lead characters from every performance, not one outshining the other. A must watch, it will stay with you for weeks on end, waiting and hoping for news of season 3.

I'm a brothers fan, true nerd for the Coen. I think this film was underrated, and could be one of my fav's of theirs to date. The cinematography was masterful. Some of the shots are so beautiful, particularly, the contrast of the stage in its audition form, in broad soaking daylight. Not their typical storyline, which took me a couple watches to really fall in love with the writing. The plight of an artist, I know it too well... Also... the soundtrack is awesome.
