Wes Holmes

I was maybe too hyped for this movie and that is part of the reason why I only give three stars. I hope I enjoy it more after seeing the directors cut. Overall I liked the movie, but found everything underwhelming. I couldn't stop thinking about how the writing and as a result the acting all reminded me of a video game. It all seemed so simple. Just enough to tell a story. Even the visuals and characters all, to me, seemed like they belong in cut scenes in a video game. Additionally, there was little to no character relationship building between the new crew. The places they went to were one set piece each. Feels like there should be so much more here. Again maybe the directors cut will make a difference?
