LOVED this show. Sad to see it go. Finally we had a show about a real family instead of that all white, straight christian old trope of a family idea where all they do is drink hot chocolate and never talk about anything real that is in practically every family drama. To have a female lead who is a mom and likes sex was progress! To show children having to deal with death was progress, to have a grandma who took the time to learn how to respect her trans grandchild was progress. To do this with characters that are flawed and to do it without the melodrama that This is Us has was outstanding. The entire show was progress for the USA who is woefully behind literally every other country when it comes to being inclusive.
