Absolutely adore the series. Really well written characters with good storyline which allows the characters to grow as individuals from their mistakes. No unrealistic beauty standards which I love. Also, I love the narration which is funny. The acting is really great. At times I hated Devi but she realized her mistakes, then toom them as lessons and grew up. Despite all Devi’s flaws and bad decisions, she never once tries to be someone she’s not . I think that’s ultimately what draws me into her character and is something I really admire about her. I think this is the first show which doesn't show the protagonist as being one dimensional and perfect but with flaws like jealousy. It should be noted that Devi is not your average 'sanskari' girl who's docile, obedient and smart with a high IQ who's always in her goody two shoes but, her character broke the mould of how Indians are stereotyped. But, they should've covered the racism and institutionalized Hinduphobia Indian Americans face. Anyways, absolutely love the series. Kudos to the makers, the creative team and obviously, the actors. Hoping for a spin-off with Kamala as the lead.
