Saptarshi Ray

Absolutely beautiful movie. Only reason I decided to watch this film was Tom Hanks. But 'Jeff' and 'Goodyear' are just awesome. Incredible movie.

Doesn't even qualify for 1 star. Satyajit Ray's another invaluable creation has yet again been ruined by the movie. Dhritiman has carried the character nicely as expected. But that's about it. The Uber poor screenplay and some forceful use of CGI have not been able to cover the feebleness of the plot and direction. The excitement that I was expecting out of this movie doesn't even remotely match the same as that the Sunday Suspense team produces by making Shanku Series just in an audio presentation. There is not a single element in this movie that will keep up the true vibe of the story. it's time the copyright of Sri Satyajit Ray's creation be handed over to someone more qualified who can do some actual justice to this great creator's marvels. I believe no one would be eager to see another Shanku movie such as this in future.

Typical Bay film with detailed action sequences and also with some flaws in the beginning. In the starting car chase in Italy there's a moment when the Alfa Romeo's left side mirror was crushed by a truck, but in the next moment the speeding car was shown with both the mirrors intact. Unacceptable.
